The Peddlers – On A Clear Day You Can See Forever

So that was “Start Button”, the last track on “As Heard on Radio Soulwax Vol.2”, which doesn’t do a lot with its source, but at least introduces to the world the “ooh just a short nap button” and “piss off button”, both of which we could all do with now and again…

Talking of short naps, why not melt into the original – two minutes of bliss, a jaunty organ solo, and then back to bliss.

Soulwax – Start Button

What’s more annoying than hearing a track and not being able to figure out where you’ve heard it before? Not very much at all, let me tell you.

There’s a meth-cooking scene in Breaking Bad that uses the Peddler’s ice-cool “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever” that had me in a spin a couple of months back, going through some Sampled and loungey chillwave whatever you want to call them compilations that I was massively into for a while back there trying to find the source of my agony. No luck. Until today, when I’m reading Nick Hornby’s “31 songs”, and he mentions 2manydjs, and I just know what it is I’m looking for…

Grab bag

what do I do when I have a track in mind, but it has no friends? I chuck it in the grab bag, of course. This is sure to be the least coherent section of the site, but perhaps the most surprising.
