Winter’s Gone is a new single from Belle Ghoul, taken from last year’s Mini-LP Rabbit’s Moon & Doomsday. As well as Winter’s Gone, the single features live versions of two tracks from that LP - Around For The Weekend and (Out Of) The Neighborhood. Kicking off with a playful wurlitzer, the song anticipates the end of the long cold season. Like a small woodland creature coming out of hibernation it unfolds its limbs, stretches, has a quick look around, steps out into the newly bright world and basks calmly and contentedly in the surrounds of a new year.

You can always tell when the winter’s gone

Everybody comes out at night

You can always tell when the long winter’s gone

Everybody comes out, everybody comes out

The video, shot by Nur Casadevall at Casa Gomis, recounts a winter fantasy of a girl’s encounter with a wolf, its magical atmosphere working in harmony with the song’s ebb and flow.

Belle Ghoul are: Christopher Tait (ELECTRIC SIX), Jesse Paris Smith (the daughter of Patti Smith and Fred “Sonic” Smith from MC5), Matt Van, Zach Shipps and Mike Alonso.
