Debut singleThe Silver Bayonets – Schemes

Schemes is the debut single from London-based indie rock band The Silver Bayonets, taken from their forthcoming debut album The Pain Inside Your Head. In it, the three-piece outfit (Kabir Sheikh on guitar and vocals, with Ross Guy on bass and Enzo Cuticchia behind the drums) give it their all to create an energetic four-minute power pop workout. It may start out reminding you strongly of Boys Don't Cry, and the guitar riff in the verse has a bit of R.E.M.'s Sitting Still about it, but they'll be quickly forgotten once you get into the meat of what is a great big, buoyant rock song.

The Pain Inside Your Head was recorded at Alaska Studios in London and is out on the Header Records label on 11th May, while "Schemes" will be released on 6 April. Both titles are available through all your favourite (usual disclaimers apply) major digital stores.
