This is a tough one. As much as I love Eels / E / Mark Everett, there’s no single album that I would say sits above all the others as a must-have: Electro-Shock Blues is brilliant if somewhat tough to get through if you’re not in the right frame of mind; Daisies of the Galaxy is a mix of fantastic and filler; recent albums have been diverting, but only for a short while. On the basis that all else being equal you might as well opt for quantity, the double album Blinking Lights and Other Revelations, then, must be the pick. If its gems are scattered throughout its double album length, no matter: the intermissions are good enough to make the wait worthwhile.
