Time for this playlist to show its early 90s Indie roots. For a day, at least.

Moose were lumped in with the shoegazing crowd at first (nerdish music history fact: they were in fact the band who inspired the term), but even by the time of their first album it was clear they were on a different path. On …XYZ They run through a bit of country rock, some indie pop, and manage to get away with covering ‘Everybody’s Talkin’ without embarrassing anyone.

Sadly, everyone ignored them, and they developed an unfortunate habit of being dropped by their record label before eventually calling it a day four albums in. The backing vocalist they got in for Soon is Never Soon Enough went on to do a bit better in her day job as lead singer of The Cranberries.
